[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign. [00:00:06] Speaker B: Hey, hey, hey. Welcome back to whole past the music history, the podcast where we turn music class into the coolest class. [00:00:13] Speaker C: We're your host, Kazmir, Holly, Amir and Magaly. And today we're putting on our best glitter giants sunglasses and meat dress. [00:00:25] Speaker A: Wait, meat dress ilk. Why would someone wear me? [00:00:32] Speaker D: Because today episode is about Lady Gaga. Let's just say she does not do boring. [00:00:41] Speaker B: Let's get started. Before we dive into Gaga's world. Quick question. If you could wear the weirdest outfit ever to a concert, what would it be? [00:00:54] Speaker C: Ooh, I'd wear a hoodie made a bubble wrap. [00:00:57] Speaker A: I'd wear a crown made of Legos heavy as the hood that builds the throne. [00:01:01] Speaker D: I'll wear a suit made of popcorn so people could snack during the show. [00:01:06] Speaker B: Okay. Gaga would definitely invite you to her band. [00:01:10] Speaker C: Lady Gaga was born Step and Stephanie Joanne Angelina Gormanta in New York City. [00:01:18] Speaker A: That's a fancy name. She started playing piano at 4 years old and wrote her first song at 13. What would you be doing at 13? [00:01:24] Speaker D: I'll be eating dino nut. I'll be eating dino nuggets and losing in Fortnite. [00:01:32] Speaker B: Same. But Gaga didn't. Gaga didn't give up. She worked really hard and became famous in 2008 with her song Just Dance. And everyone did just dance. [00:01:46] Speaker C: She also worked with other music stars like did you know? [00:01:50] Speaker B: Did. [00:01:50] Speaker C: Did you know? She recorded a song called D with a Smile with Bruno Mars. That one was a total jam, even though it didn't get as big as her other hits. I don't know why. [00:02:01] Speaker A: Lady Gaga is more than music. She's music history. Here's why. [00:02:04] Speaker D: She mixed pop and weird fashion, wild performance and deep lyrics that made her different and unforgettable. [00:02:13] Speaker B: She also speaks up for people. Gaga talks about mental health, human rights, and being kind. Her song Born this Way is like a musical high five for being yourself. [00:02:24] Speaker C: And don't forget, she won an Oscar or Shallow from the movie A Star Sport. [00:02:29] Speaker A: She also done jazz, rock, country, and even performed at the super bowl halftime show. She flies in the air while singing, like, literally in the air. [00:02:40] Speaker D: She's like a human disco ball with wings. [00:02:44] Speaker B: That's crazy. And check this out. She has a cool song called Abracadabra that's all about how music feels like magic. And with Gaga, it really does feel like magic. [00:02:58] Speaker D: All right, music lovers, it's time for dinner time. [00:03:12] Speaker B: We'll ask three questions, see if you can guess them before we say the answer. What was Lady Gaga first big hit song? [00:03:24] Speaker A: Just dance. First. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Okay, crushing. 2. Which answer or word that Gaga went for the the song shallow Yo Bro. Record the song. Die with the smell. [00:03:54] Speaker A: How many did you get right? If you got all four, you're a little monster. Which is what Gaga calls her fans. Lady Gaga showed the world that music isn't just about sound. It's about being bold, being kind, and being yourself. [00:04:11] Speaker D: She makes style, voice, and love, and that's what made and made it while doing history. [00:04:17] Speaker B: That's why we think Lady Gaga deserves a spot in our hall of fame of music history. [00:04:22] Speaker C: She's loud and she's proud and full of glitter. What's not to love?
